A total of 626 names have appeared in this season’s Super League, including players playing on two different teams. In the league, 27 soccer players (10 of whom are foreigners) played on both teams.
Foreign players played in the league for a total of 447,000 (59.6 percent), while domestic players remained on the field for 302,677 (40.4 percent).
Last season, the percentage of foreigners playing in the Super League was 64.1 and 35.9 for locals.
At Goztepe, only locals stayed in the field
In the Super League, Goztepe alone took longer for local players than foreign players this season.
The yellow-red team, who was demoted to 19th place in the season, played against 18 local and 15 foreign players in the league.
At Goztepe, domestic players played for 21,145 minutes and foreigners played for 16,270 minutes.
In last season’s league, only Turkish players stayed on the field rather than Göztepe’s foreigners.
Foreigners took the longest time in Konyaspor
Ittifak Holding Konyaspor stood out as the team that gave foreign players the most missions in the league.
The Konya team was also the team of the league where the local players took the least time.
During the season, 14 foreign players and 12 local players played in the green-white team. Foreign players stayed in the field for 25,935 minutes and local players stayed in the field for 11,655 minutes.
Galatasaray with the most foreign players
Galatasaray has become the team that played the most foreign players in Süper Lig.
During the season, 19 foreign players had the opportunity to play in the yellow-red team.
Meanwhile, the demoted Yeni Malatya Sport was recorded as the team that played the most Turkish players in the league this season, with 25 players.
Foreign stamp of goal
Foreign players scored most of the goals last season in the Super League.
Of the 1067 goals scored in the league, including own goals, 777 (72.8%) were signed by foreign players and 290 (27.2%) were signed by domestic soccer players.
On all teams in the league, foreigners score more goals than domestic.
