The upper part is sports, the lower part is soccer

The success of a country that sleeps in football and wakes up in football in three days … Probably a few days will be talked about and lost in the transfer news.

Five gold medals at the World Women’s Boxing Championship, Anadolu Efes defended the title in the EuroLeague, and Bakufubank won the Champions League for the fifth time …

There is no doubt that a revolution is taking place in the field of sports in Japan. Our representatives will compete in many competitions that we have only seen on screen. In particular, the surge in women is more visible. The degree achieved in a land where girls are very difficult to play sports and sometimes even hide it from their families must be important.

Between 1908 and 2016, female athletes won five Olympic medals, and Turkey had the same success only in Tokyo. In this respect, Japan was a dream for us. But excuse me, but first of all, volleyball …

If men do what they have achieved in football, the planet will be filled with news. If a company has sustainable success in commercial life, it will be shown among world leaders. History writes the names of our female volleyball players in gold letters in a land where their companions are highly pushed, victims of murder, and sometimes treated as second-class citizens. Why do you ask? While some are struggling with clothing, appearance, attitudes and lifestyles, the amazing women on the net are doing what they need to do to criticize them in the field. Not only do they thwart the debate that should have stayed centuries ago, but they also seem to nail this spirit about where it should be in every dunk they hit.

At the club level, women’s volleyball has peaked for years due to the fierce competition of VakıfBank-Eczacıbaşı-Fenerbahçe. Since 2010, one of these three teams has been in the Champions League final with one exception. Probably the most difficult league in the world is playing in our country. No doubt, the results will be reflected on the net.

He won the European Championships 2nd and 3rd twice, won the Olympics twice, and also won the European and World Championships for the younger generation. If you look at your club team’s balance sheet, you’ll come across a table that you’re completely unfamiliar with. 7 championships, 7 second place, 7 third place in the Champions League. The championships are written 5 times in Cup 2, 3 times in 2nd place, 3 times in 3rd place, 3 times in Cup 3, 6 times in 2nd place and 6 times in 3rd place. We are also the most successful country in the Club World Championship, which brings together the best teams in the world. No joke, it’s real!

Have you ever witnessed such a sustainable success story in Turkey? The people who built the system underlying this success set many examples, inspired thousands of girls, and deserved a lot of applause.[1]

What about our female boxers … Busenaz, who first shook the ring on the Olympic stage, greeted the world at Trabzon on May 26, 1996. Busenaz, who was born in the same city on her second birthday, goes the same way. Her life loves coincidence. Her birthday is the same as the birthplace of the athlete who brought her first Olympic medal to the country in boxing. The spelling of those names is different. Still, this alone gives up.

“Do women put in the box?” Surmeneri, who was always vigilant, said after the first match, “This victory is a gift for women in my country and all the children who dream of a beautiful future.” Told.

Busenas with adjacent names received gold, and Busenas with separate names received silver. The door they opened was in the middle. Five gold and two bronze at the World Championships in Istanbul were incredible.

Hatice Akbaş, Ayşe Çağrıır, and Şennur Demir have become world champions like the duo who made history at the Olympics. Obviously, there are even more medals in women’s boxing!

And finally, men’s basketball. Not as much as women’s volleyball, but since 2016, one out of the last four teams in the EuroLeague remains. Anadolu Efes is on a road paved by Fenerbahce at the epicenter of European basketball known as the Final Four. In 2017, under the leadership of Jericho Obradvich, the Yellow Dark Blue Team won, and under Elgin Ataman, Dark Blue White won the championship for the second consecutive year. Olympiacos was the last to achieve this in an organization where consecutive wins were extremely difficult. By the way, it should be remembered that the EuroLeague Cup for women’s basketball first came to Turkey in 2014 and Galatasaray, who defeated Fenerbahce, bears its name in history.

Did you say soccer? At club level, the points reached in Europe are clear. Stay drowned in everyday things and spend weeks in a fig dispute that doesn’t fill the core of the fig. Will you succeed someday?
