The meeting of the Russian-Ukrainian negotiating delegation at the Dolmabahce Presidential Labor Bureau in Istanbul has ended today. The talks are declared constructive, and a Russian delegation conveys the Ukrainian proposal to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Turkey is one of the countries Ukraine wants to see as a guarantor.

After the meeting, Ukrainian delegation David Alacamia told reporters, “We need the same guarantees as in NATO Article 5. In this article, in the case of an attack on Ukraine, we will contact the guarantee country within three days. Talks begin. “It will be possible to take all sorts of measures to ensure safety, including closing the airspace in Ukraine,” he said.

“It is a matter of principle to reach an agreement on these key provisions,” Arakamia said, adding that he hopes the guarantor will be invited to the negotiations within two weeks.

“The results of today’s meeting are sufficient for a leader-level meeting,” said Mikhail Podryak, also a Ukrainian delegation.
