He was born in 1970 in the Emilder district of Afyon.

He completed higher education at the Faculty of Economics, Anadolu University. He began his journalism career in a Turkish newspaper in 1988.

Until 1994, he worked as a correspondent for health, police, courthouses, and the prime minister, respectively. He went to London that same year and studied language and economics at the University of Westminster until 1998. That same year he worked as a London correspondent for TGRT and Türkiye Newspaper.

He returned to Ankara in 1998 and worked as a diplomatic and defense correspondent at TGRT.

He was appointed TGRT Ankara News Manager in 2000. That same year, he began preparing and announcing the “What’s Happening” program.

In 2006, he briefly represented Fox TV Ankara.
